Each year I get suckered into watching KABC-TV’s lame attempt at a pre-Oscar show. This year insult was added to injury with constant cutaways to someone’s idea of comedy and the intrusion of a bunch of dumb puppets. What next? Celebrity impersonators? Is it too much to hope that one year someone will have the brains to put a camera on Army Archerd and let us see and hear what we’re tuned in for? The stars! I’ve seen enough of the backs of Steve Edwards and Tawny Little, thank you.
