Maryland’s Example on Growth Issue
Your recent article about the SCAG report on the future of transportation in Orange County demonstrated what those of us already here have known all along: Traffic is bad and getting worse. That’s why we, who plan to stay, want the slow-growth initiative on the ballot.
The key phrase in the article is “if current trends continue.” The whole idea behind the initiative is to prevent current trends from continuing. So, our Transportation Commission is responding like any self-respecting government bureaucracy should: Label the conclusions you don’t agree with as invalid, and do another study! The developers love you!
