International airline traffic grew by 13% in the first quarter to reach 41.5 million passengers, the International Air Transport Assn. said. “Traffic growth for this year as a whole has got to be between 10% and 12%,” a spokesman for the 168-airline association said. “But the most growth has been in the low fare sector of the market.”
