Wings West Airlines signed an amended merger agreement with AMR Corp. to reflect the fact that Wings West has canceled a $100-million aircraft purchase. AMR, the parent of American Airlines, had threatened to pull out of the $41.7-million merger unless the San Luis Obispo-based commuter airline renegotiated the purchase of 10 ATP aircraft from British Aerospace.
