Bo’s Got Spirit

After a four-year hiatus, John and Bo Derek will start production on a romantic comedy, “Ghosts Can’t Do It,” in August for Trans World Entertainment. It’ll film in Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and the Maldive Islands.
What’s it about? “Our relationship,” John told us. “It’s to show people that we have a sense of humor about the difference in our ages. If I were watching what was going on, I’d be ticked off, too, that this old man has been married to three beautiful women.”
John, who’ll direct, promised a comedy of errors, “with sweetly, funny situations.”
The story casts Bo as Kate, wife of M.B. Scott, a wealthy, virile industrialist, 35 years her senior (no, John won’t star--the role is still to be cast). After experiencing a heart attack, Scott commits suicide but returns at his funeral as a ghost whom only Kate can see and hear. His plan: to get her to help him take possession of a young man’s body so their relationship can continue.
