Retirement Housing Rising in Fullerton

Completion is scheduled in the fall of 1990, for the $75-million Morningside of Fullerton life-care retirement community at Bastanchury Road and Brea Boulevard in Fullerton.
Developed by CoreCare, Fullerton, the project was designed by Inslee, Senefeld & Puchlik, Pasadena, and is being built by McCarthy/Pacific, Newport Beach.
The Mediterranean-styled design features a 162-bed skilled-nursing facility, 338 residential units in three buildings ranging from three to five stories, along with 40 one-story villas.
Design features on the 41-acre campus-like site will include a lake and other water features, a lakeside commons building, dining halls and a pool and spa building.
