Woman Posing as Star’s Wife Ruled Incompetent

NORWALK, Conn. — A judge has ruled that a woman who claimed to be the wife of talk show host David Letterman after allegedly breaking into his home twice and taking his car is incompetent to stand trial.
Superior Court Judge James Bingham made the ruling Friday after hearing testimony from a doctor that Margaret Ray is “rambling and has impaired judgment.” He ordered that Ray, 36, undergo psychiatric examination by a team of doctors.
