A Shadow Hills man was being held without bail Saturday on suspicion of shooting to death a 36-year-old man in Sun Valley Friday night, police said.
Richard Cuen, 41, was arrested late Friday in what police said may be a drug-related shooting. He was being held in the Foothill division jail.
The name of the victim was not released Saturday because his relatives had not been notified, police said.
Police responded to a report of an assault in which shots had been fired at a house in the 10800 block of Olinda Street at 9:40 p.m. Friday. They found the victim lying on the living room floor with a gunshot wound in his chest. The man died early Saturday at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, police said.
Cuen was arrested near his Shadow Hills home soon after 11 p.m. No further details were released because the case was under investigation, police said.
