In what organizers called a “rescue mission to save lives,” about 300 people blocked access to two clinics in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty section. More than 150 anti-abortion activists were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and disrupting traffic. The demonstrators blocked the Allegheny Reproductive Health Center and the Allegheny Women’s Center in an effort to postpone or cancel scheduled abortions, a spokesman for the group said.
