Elephant Kills Tourist Taking Its Photograph

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — An Italian tourist was killed by an enraged elephant he was photographing in Sri Lanka’s Southern province, police said Sunday.
Quymzio Petrozzht, 57, had been snapping shots of the solitary elephant Friday when the animal shook its head in anger and charged.
Police said two local trackers accompanying the tourist clambered up a tree and shouted at Petrozzht to do the same, but he ignored the warning.
