Van Nuys Boxer Stopped in 4th Round

Junior welterweight Duane Jones of Van Nuys was knocked out by Felipe Sanchez of Los Angeles 2:26 into the fourth round of a scheduled six-round fight at the Forum on Wednesday night.

Jones was first knocked down by Sanchez in the third round. Jones (4-2-1) retaliated with a knockdown of his own in the fourth, before another Sanchez left put Jones down again. Jones reached his feet by the count of eight, but the fight was halted.
