New Century Entertainment Corp. is shedding its old skin and becoming New Visions Entertainment Corp., the company’s co-chairmen, Taylor Hackford and Samuel Schuman, announced Monday. The firm, responsible for such films as “La Bamba,” “An Officer and a Gentleman,” and “Against All Odds,” also announced the opening of its new headquarters on Wilshire Boulevard and further explained its $50-million agreement with the Canadian exhibition giant Cineplex Odeon. New Visions is to produce at least 25 pictures over the next five years (at $6 million-10 million per movie). It will hold domestic rights to the movies, and Cineplex gets Canadian and all foreign rights.
