Fumes from a powerful agricultural fumigant used in a strawberry field prompted the precautionary evacuation of more than 200 people from a neighborhood in the San Diego County community of Fallbrook, fire officials said. Residents were allowed to return to their homes seven hours after authorities first received complaints about the fumes. No injuries were reported.
