For the fourth time in five years, the Woodland Hills home of City Councilwoman Joy Picus was burglarized Sunday night, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
West Valley division detectives are investigating.
The thieves took only stereo equipment, Picus said Monday.
She said the incident occurred between 5:15 and 9 p.m. while she was at a concert in Warner Center Park. “When we walked into the family room, there were loose electric cords hanging from the entertainment center,” she said.
Picus said police could find no signs of forced entry.
“It appeared that entry was made with a key,” she said. “Someone seemed to know that we would not be home.”
Despite her experiences with burglars in the past, Picus said this burglary scared her because “the others were very random. This time it appears that it was only aimed at me.”
