The U.S. Olympic Committee is operated by a “good-old-boy network,” under which contracts have been awarded to committee friends and associates, the Colorado Springs (Colo.) Gazette Telegraph reported.
Unidentified sources quoted by the newspaper have alleged that contracts valued at millions of dollars have been awarded improperly for legal, construction and even publishing work.
The Gazette Telegraph said it spent four months conducting interviews with people associated with the U.S. Olympic movement and examining 10 years of USOC tax records and annual audits.
