Hughes Aircraft Co., a division of GM Hughes Electronics, has announced a series of senior executive promotions. C. Blaine Shull, senior vice president and group president of the ground systems group, was named to the newly created position of senior vice president-strategic planning. His post at the ground systems group will be filled by W. S. Walker, who has been senior vice president and group president of the industrial electronics group. L. H. Kurkjian was elected a corporate vice president at the ground systems group and becomes a member of the policy board. Hughes also elected T. W. J. Wong as a senior vice president.
