NEW YORK — A former Wall Street securities analyst agreed to plead guilty today to criminal charges for his role in a massive insider trading scheme.
Manhattan U.S. Atty. Rudolph W. Giuliani said Stephen Sui-Kuan Wang Jr., 24, a former employee of the prominent brokerage Morgan Stanley & Co., participated in an insider trading scheme with Taiwanese-born businessman Fred C. Lee. Giuliani said the scheme involved trading in the securities of more than 14 companies involved in mergers and takeovers where Morgan Stanley played a role. Giuliani said that Wang would cooperate with the government and that the investigation is continuing.
