Mauldin Surfaces at Pasadena City to Play Football

Former San Fernando High quarterback Joe Mauldin, an All-Valley selection last season in football and basketball, has enrolled at Pasadena City College and will play football this season.
Mauldin (6-2, 190 pounds), who passed for 1,633 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, signed a letter of intent with Cal State Fullerton but was denied admission Aug. 26 because he failed to meet academic requirements.
“We feel we have a great one,” Pasadena Coach Dennis Gossard said. “We have some other kids from San Fernando and they told him about our program.
