Beverly Hills : Permit-Parking District
The City Council voted Tuesday to create a permit-parking district on the 200 block of Tower Drive, near the eastern edge of the city, south of Wilshire Boulevard.
Parking will be limited to one hour Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight. Residents with permits will be exempted from the requirement.
A city study showed that on weekdays, the 49 curb-side parking spaces along the block were 96% occupied at 8 a.m. and 98% occupied at 3 p.m. The survey also showed that an average 73% of spaces on the block were taken by non-residents between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays, and 59% were occupied by non-residents on a typical Saturday. Residents concerned about the parking problems petitioned the city in April to create the permit zone.
