Keep Valley Fair From Pierce
It has come to my attention that there is serious consideration of the Pierce College campus for the location of the Valley fair, now located at Devonshire Downs.
Although there have not been any community hearings on the subject that I know of, I have heard that the Sepulveda Dam site has been rejected on account of protests by homeowners. If homeowners in this neighborhood were to hear about it, you may be sure there would be even more protest . . . because the Pierce site is so closely surrounded by residential areas. Traffic, noise and the elimination of one of the neighborhood’s most attractive sites, the openness of the Pierce campus, would be grounds for the protest.
Moreover, Woodland Hills is becoming almost unbearably developed, with hotels, office buildings, huge apartment complexes and now the proposed development of land belonging to Blue Cross in Warner Center.
