Lynne Cox, who swam chilly Lake Baikal in Siberia Aug. 26, will be honored by her hometown of Los Alamitos at a fund-raising reception and celebration Tuesday night, 5:30 to 7:30, at the Community Center off Katella Avene on Oak Street. Tickets are $15, available through the Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce.
