Local News in Brief : South County : San Onofre Emergency Sirens to Be Tested

Emergency sirens at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station will be tested twice between 10 a.m. and noon Wednesday.) Each test will last two to five minutes.
Notices were sent to residents in San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, Capistrano Beach and areas near the station such as San Onofre State Park.
The owners of the generating station--Southern California Edison Co., San Diego Gas & Electric Co. and the cities of Anaheim and Riverside--emphasized that Wednesday’s action will be only a test.
