Warde Leads Irvine to Water Polo Victory

Tom Warde scored a breakaway goal with 1:36 left to give UC Irvine a 9-8 victory over UC San Diego in the opening round of the UCI water polo tournament Friday at Heritage Park.
Warde, who had three goals, also scored with 2:03 left to tie the score at 8.
