Channel Islands 40, Hueneme 14--Fullback Jerry Williams rushed for 117 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead Channel Islands at Hueneme. Williams scored the first touchdown of the game on a 12-yard run in the first quarter. On the Raiders’ next possession, Vince Medina completed six consecutive passes, including a five-yard touchdown throw to Mike King.
Mark Contreras opened the second half at quarterback for Channel Islands and his first pass was a 29-yard touchdown toss to Shawn Young. Williams’ other touchdowns came on runs of 15, 37 and 2 yards.
Hueneme scored in the final quarter on a 57-yard run by quarterback Damon Hicks and a 27-yard pass from Hicks to Mike Roberson.
