Local News in Brief : Fullerton : Costume Designer Joins Cal State Theater Staff

Paul Reinhardt, a costume designer in the theater arts at the University of Texas for the past 27 years, has joined Cal State Fullerton’s theater and dance department, the university announced.
Reinhardt’s first design offering will be seen in the campus production of “The Robber Bridegroom,” which opens Friday and continues through Oct. 16, university officials said.
Reinhardt has designed costumes for more than 200 stage productions. His credits, in addition to the University of Texas, include plays at the Texas Shakespeare Festival, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts, Northwestern University and Northwestern Repertory Theater.
Reinhardt said interpretation is a key to his designs. “I feel I should be designing the play with the right feel for the story and characterizations,” he said. “I think a designer has to be flexible stylistically.”
