Local News in Brief : Santa Ana : School Trustees Urge Passage of Prop. 79

Trustees of Santa Ana Unified School District have passed a resolution urging voter support of Proposition 79 on Nov. 8. Proposition 79 would authorize $800 million in general obligation bonds for the construction and improvement of elementary and secondary schools.
Robert L. Richardson, president of the school board, said the resolution was passed because “we’re one of the most overcrowded school districts in the state, and we have a long list of construction and reconstruction needs.”
