Officials in Sierra Blanca, Tex., said they found drugs in a tractor-trailer whose driver is accused of killing a motorist, wounding a law officer and running eight vehicles off the road in a 75-mile rampage on Interstate 10. Denver Jerome Burrell, 30, of Walhalla, S.C., was arrested after a wild chase by sheriff’s deputies, Border Patrol officers and Department of Public Safety troopers. He has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, attempted capital murder and driving while intoxicated, and public safety officials in El Paso said additional charges are pending. Officials would not comment on what drugs were found.
