Covina : Biology Professor Honored

Alan E. Muchlinski of Covina received Cal State Los Angeles’ Outstanding Professor Award at the college’s annual Fall Faculty Day celebration.
The chairman of the biology department, who teaches physiology, general biology and mammalogy, was nominated by students, faculty and alumni. Muchlinski’s specialty is thermoregulation, including hibernation, and he recently received a grant to study hibernating mammals as models for obesity research.
