Jim Lefebvre, the Seattle Mariners’ new manager, said his goal is winning the 1989 championship.
“I won’t settle for mediocrity,” the former Dodger infielder said during his first news conference as a major league manager. “I want to win a championship this year, not just be a .500 club.”
