Duke, a Final Four team 2 of the last 3 seasons, was named the No. 1 team in the Associated Press’ preseason college basketball poll.
The Blue Devils, who lost in the semifinals of the Final Four to eventual champion Kansas, received 33 first-place votes. Georgetown was named No. 2.
