Carl Karcher Enterprises’ third-quarter revenue increased 20% from the year-ago period to $106.5 million. Net income for the quarter doubled to $4.2 million. Net income included an extraordinary tax benefit due to the disposal of some restaurants. The Anaheim-based owner and franchiser of 467 Carl’s Jr. restaurants attributed its performance mainly to a 7% increase in customers.
