Sabotage has been ruled out in a $1-million explosion and rupture of an underground segment of the California Aqueduct, state officials said. Last Wednesday’s explosion on the Las Flores Ranch in San Bernardino County blew out a 6-by-7-foot piece of the 11-foot-diameter pipeline, tossing 4-foot chunks of concrete 500 feet and knocking out overhead power lines and an underground telephone line.
