Events in the news this week.

Monday’s meeting of the Huntington Beach City Council will include discussion of possible recommendations to the county regarding the county’s proposal to expand Sunset Aquatic Regional Park, a marina surrounded by homes. Some residents oppose one alternative--to allow overnight camping at the facility, which is in county territory but is surrounded by city land. Also on the agenda: a public hearing on a controversial proposal by Angus Petroleum to put an oil consolidation and drilling project in a residential neighborhood.
