Robbery Suspect Held After 100-M.P.H. Chase

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — A high-speed chase ended in the arrest of a gunman suspected of using a sawed-off shotgun to rob as many as 10 restaurants in the San Jose area, police said Sunday.
James Roy McColloch, 25, of San Jose, was arrested on multiple charges after a chase that reached 100 m.p.h., investigators said. Chris C. Caldwell, 35, and Robert Ryan Deets, 25, both of San Jose, and suspected as accomplices, were arrested later at a mobile home park by detectives following up on the robbery investigation.
All three suspects were held without bail.
