Bird Grounds Departing Jetliner With 25 Aboard

PORTLAND, Ore. — An American Airlines Boeing 737 carrying 25 people returned to Portland International Airport shortly after takeoff when a bird was sucked into one of the plane’s engines, officials said. No one was injured in the incident Saturday.
