Michael Cooper of the Lakers is expected to miss Tuesday’s game against the New York Knicks and Wednesday’s game against the Miami Heat because he is resting from a back strain, a club spokesman said. Cooper, who doctors say needs rest, is expected to return to action Saturday against Detroit.
