THE PREPS : Irvine Plays in Volleyball Quarterfinals Tonight

Irvine High School plays host to North High School of Bakersfield at 7:30 tonight in the quarterfinals of the state Division I girls’ volleyball playoffs.
Irvine (20-0) defeated Roosevelt, 15-1, 15-6, 15-3, in the opening round of the state tournament Tuesday. North (21-4) defeated Carson, 15-13, 15-5, 15-7, in the first round.
The winner advances to the semifinals Tuesday. The final will be Dec. 3 at Cal State Fullerton.
