Whittier Christian Will Meet Banning for Title

Whittier Christian High School will try for its first CIF championship at 12:30 p.m. Saturday when it plays Banning High of Riverside County in the Division 2-AA title game at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
The Heralds, coached by Bob Brown, have a 21-6 record. They are led by forward Paul McKinley, who is averaging 17.6 points a game, and 6-foot-7 center Scott Ferguson, who is averaging 13.9.
