P. M. BRIEFING : Wickes Reorganizes Into 3 Groups

Santa Monica-based Wickes Companies Inc. today announced a reorganization into three operating groups, a move the company’s top operating officer said will allow for better concentration of resources.
The newly formed groups were identified as the Industrial Group, the Collins and Aikman Textile Group and the Kayser-Roth Hosiery Group.
As part of the new streamlining efforts, Wickes management appointed Richard M. Clarke, 57, president and chief executive officer of the newly formed Industrial Group. The Industrial Group is made up of the Wickes Manufacturing Co., Wickes Engineering and Collins & Aikman Wallcoverings Group.
