Volcano Destroys Coffee Plantations

GUATEMALA CITY — The Pacayo Volcano spewed lava, ash and sand Friday, destroying coffee plantations in the path of the molten rock in a display visible from this capital city 15 miles away. No injuries have been reported.
The eruption began Tuesday from two new craters that opened on the 8,420-foot high mountain.
