Farah Receives Two Offers: Farah Inc. reported that it has received an $11-a-share merger offer from Salant Corp., which would value the textile and clothing company at $64.8 million. El Paso-based Farah also said it had received a bid from the management of its wholly owned Generra Sportswear Co. subsidiary to buy the unit in a deal it valued at $65 million. Farah said the Generra offer includes cash and notes plus the assumption of debt, and is subject to a number of conditions. Farah makes slacks, jeans and walking shorts among other products.
