New York Yankees outfielder Dave Winfield was discharged from Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, where he underwent spinal surgery last Friday.
A statement released by a hospital spokeswoman described Winfield as being “in excellent condition and in good spirits.”
He will begin rehabilitation at the hospital’s Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic April 10, but there is no estimate yet on how long it will be before he can play again.
