Monterey Park : Ristic Resigns From Board
- Share via
George Ristic, a former Planning Commission member and an unsuccessful candidate for the City Council last year, has resigned from the city Personnel Board because he is moving from Monterey Park, his home for 30 years.
Ristic, known as a prolific writer of letters to the editors of local newspapers, cited personal reasons for selling his house and moving temporarily to Pasadena. Eventually, he said, he plans to build a house in Apple Valley and settle there.
A retired school administrator, Ristic often voiced the concerns of longtime residents who were disturbed by the rapid changes wrought by immigration in the last decade.
