The Commerce City Council on Tuesday voted to raise the monthly stipend each council member receives from $422 a month to $464 a month. The raise will take effect after the April 10, 1990, municipal election, an official said. The council last gave itself a raise in 1988, when the monthly stipend was increased from $352.
