Buena Park : Surplus Food Will Be Distributed to Needy

Surplus government food is to be distributed to the needy Aug. 11 at the Senior Citizens Center, 8150 Knott Ave.
A baked goods and rummage sale will also be held to raise money for programs at the center.
To be eligible for the surplus food, individuals must have an income of not more than $688.50 a month or $8,262 a year. A household of two must not earn more than $925.50 a month or $11,106 a year.
Proceeds from the rummage and bake sales will benefit the center’s nutrition and day care programs. Activities will begin at 8:30 a.m.
