Darrell Waltrip scored his fifth victory of the season, winning the Busch 500 NASCAR race at Bristol (Tenn.) International Raceway.
Alan Kulwicki, who started from the pole and had a shot at a bonus of $136,800 if he won, finished second--five seconds behind Waltrip. The bonus, which goes to any driver who wins both the pole and the race, will increase to $144,400 next weekend at Darlington, S.C.
