Ferry Scores 25, Leads Italian Team to Win

Danny Ferry scored 25 points, and former Boston Celtic Brian Shaw added 19 as Messaggero Roma beat Vismara Cantu, 90-86, in an Italian Basketball League opener Saturday at Cantu, Italy.
Ferry, the No. 2 pick--by the Clippers--in the 1989 NBA draft, scored three of his points after Messaggero fell behind, 86-85, with less than two minutes left--after leading by 19 points earlier.
Shaw added two points in the final seconds as a partisan crowd of 3,300 booed and whistled at the U.S. stars.
