College Roundup : Titan Women Upset SDSU in Volleyball

The Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball team ended two losing streaks with a 15-12, 15-9, 16-18, 15-11 victory over San Diego State in a Big West Conference match Tuesday at Fullerton.
The victory was Fullerton’s first after 34 consecutive Big West conference losses dating to September 1987. In addition, the Titans won for the first time in 33 matches against San Diego State.
San Diego State, ranked 22nd in the nation, is 11-9, 2-2.
Susan Herman had 26 kills and Tammy Miller and Sabrina Dennis each had 10 for Fullerton (6-7, 1-3).
In California Collegiate Athletic Assn. women’s volleyball:
Chapman 3, Cal State Los Angeles 0--Christy Anderson has 12 kills for visiting Chapman in a 15-4, 15-6, 15-7 sweep. Chapman is 14-2, 2-0; CS Los Angeles is 3-9, 0-1.
In nonconference men’s soccer:
Santa Clara 2, Cal State Fullerton 1--Santa Clara, the fourth-ranked team in the nation, took a 2-0 lead in the first half.
