Warner-Lambert Co.: The Morris Plains, N.J.-based drug firm’s third-quarter profit climbed 22% from a year ago to a record $107 million. Sales totaled a record $1.11 billion, a gain of 7%. The results were attributed to higher worldwide sales of the company’s pharmaceuticals, increased sales of non-prescription health-care products, including Listerine mouthwash, Halls cough tablets, Rolaids antacid, Lubriderm skin lotion and Efferdent denture cleaner and added sales of confectionary products led by Trident sugarless gum.
