El Toro Moves Atop Prep Football Poll

El Toro High School has replaced Mission Viejo as the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep football poll after Mission Viejo’s 27-14 loss to Capistrano Valley last week.
Mission Viejo, ranked first for four consecutive weeks, dropped to fourth in the poll and Capistrano Valley moved from third to second. Only five teams--El Toro, Capistrano Valley, Sunny Hills, Estancia and Whittier Christian--are unbeaten and untied after seven weeks.
